How much sea moss gel should I use?

As a dietary supplement, we suggest mixing 2 tablespoons with at least 12 ounces of liquid, for ideal taste and benefits.


Can I consume sea moss gel by itself?

We don't recommend it. Our Premium Sea Moss Gel is highly concentrated and should be diluted for proper mineral absorption, as well as a pleasant taste (see below for more on that).  The most popular method of consumption is mixing the gel into smoothies, but you may use any beverage you wish!


Can you describe the taste of sea moss gel?

Pure sea moss gel (with no infusion) has more of an ocean-like “essence” than a taste. Imagine standing on a beach and taking in the ocean air, or if a cucumber came from the sea.  Aaahh... Refreshing!  However, it is important to note that sea moss gel by itself is not supposed to be delicious and we do not use (or believe in) additives to improve the taste.  Also, each of the different infusions (bladderwrack & burdock root, black seed oil, aloe vera, etc.) will come with their own distinct taste, but all are hardly noticeable in smoothies or flavored beverages.


Does sea moss gel need to be refrigerated?

Yes.  When your gel arrives, it may have become warm during the shipping process.  For best results and optimal consistency, refrigerate overnight before opening and keep refrigerated between uses.  Please don't worry.  It is still safe to consume.  


How long will my sea moss gel stay fresh?

Our experience is that refrigerated sea moss gel is best if used within 12 weeks.

How long do the sea moss freezer packs last?

Sea moss can remain frozen for up to 12 months from the date of purchase.

Where does your sea moss come from?

Our sea moss is sustainably sourced from the Caribbean waters of Saint Lucia, where sand and water quality score among the highest in the world.


When should I expect to receive my order?

Orders are generally shipped within 3-5 business days from the date the order is placed. Transit time is determined by the shipping service selected at checkout, and typically ranges between 1 and 3 business days. Next Day and 2nd Day shipping options are also available for faster delivery.


What if I have a problem with my order?

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact our Customer Care team by emailing wecare@oceanspromise.com within 7 days of receiving your order.  Please note that due to the consumable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges of any kind.  We are happy to resolve any issues or concerns with a full replacement or refund, if warranted.
